“Have the confidence to embrace a challenge.”
“Upon graduating from college, I landed my dream job when I accepted an offer from the New York Jets. I always knew I wanted to work in sports; I just didn’t know in what capacity. An internship turned into a full-time job on the Client Relations team and I quickly learned how competitive the real world is. However, I never lost confidence, worked to the best of my ability, and always played to my strengths.

“I credit the teachers and coaches at Kent Place who helped prepare me to embrace adversity in the classroom and on the playing field. They encouraged me to never to give up until I reached my goal. At the Jets, I learned the importance of teamwork, how to deal with difficult situations, and to handle a very demanding fan base. I embraced the challenge of working in a male-dominated industry, which proved to be even more rewarding than I had anticipated.

“Throughout my career with the Jets, I focused on the importance of building meaningful professional relationships. A relationship begins with the initial impression but it’s really about building trust and encouraging camaraderie within your entire team.

“After seven seasons, during which I accomplished many goals I’d set for myself, I made the difficult decision to leave the Jets: Three months ago, I embarked on a career with the Chilton Medical Center Foundation. It’s my hope to succeed at this new challenge and proudly showcase the skills I honed at Kent Place.”
