Danielle V. Auriemma ’06: Associate Director, Class Giving, Massachusetts Institute of Technology

Ms. Auriemma has been at MIT for 4 years, and she oversees peer-to-peer fundraising campaigns for the 15th and 20th reunions and launched and manages a regional fundraising event and volunteer program for alumni who graduated 11-24 years ago.
Her main responsibilities include identifying, recruiting, training and managing 100 alumni volunteers; developing partnerships with departments, offices and centers around campus and translating their fundraising priorities into inspiring event content; developing and overseeing web and e-mail marketing; and overseeing the conception and execution of seven events held annually in Boston, NYC, DC and San Francisco.

Ms. Auriemma received the 2016 Leading the Way Award from the MIT Alumni Association for her collaboration, teamwork, creativity and innovation, and building community through inclusion of others. Previously, she managed MIT’s student philanthropy programs, Senior Gift and a program for freshmen through juniors to instill a habit of annual giving within MIT’s student body. She led two record-breaking Senior Gift campaigns that brought participation to 86.67% of graduating seniors. Ms. Auriemma also worked as a graduate assistant of advancement at Boston College Law School and as a systems analyst and technology consultant at the Exeter Group, Inc.

Ms. Auriemma has held volunteer roles for Kent Place, Boston College and MIT. For Boston College, she has been co-chair and class leader of the GOLD (Graduates of the Last Decade) Leadership Council, member of her 5th reunion fundraising and engagement committees, and senior class gift committee member for which she was awarded the 2011 James F. Stanton ’42 Senior Class Gift Award. She has served as Kent Place class secretary, class agent, and 5th and 10th reunion committee member.

Ms. Auriemma holds a BA Summa Cum Laude in economics from Boston College and an MA in higher education administration from Boston College.
