Upper School Dragons Conclude Exciting Fall Season

Upper School Dragons Conclude Exciting Fall Season

This fall, Kent Place School offered a strong lineup of athletic programs in the Upper School, in cross country (Varsity), field hockey (Junior Varsity, and Varsity), soccer (Junior Varsity, and Varsity), tennis (Junior Varsity, and Varsity), and volleyball (Junior Varsity and Varsity). As the season winds down, we celebrate a series of outstanding achievements by our Dragons.

The Upper School tennis program maintained its tradition of excellence: The Junior Varsity team secured victories in 16 of their 18 matches; Varsity Tennis captured the Union County Tournament title for an impressive ninth consecutive year and claimed the Watchung Division championship. Junior Keira Kapur was honored as Union County Player of the Year for the second year in a row.

Varsity Field Hockey added another accolade to the school’s history, bringing home the NJISAA Prep A trophy for the first time since 2021. The team triumphed over two higher-seeded opponents en route to the final, where they enjoyed a decisive 3-0 victory. Both JV and Varsity Field Hockey excelled in the Union County tournament as well: JV made it to the semifinal and Varsity all the way to the final.

In Varsity Volleyball, the team was runner-up in the NJSIAA North Jersey Non-Public A final.

Don’t forget to check the winter calendar to continue showing your support for our teams.
