Kent Place Students Earn National Merit and AP Scholar Distinctions

Kent Place is pleased to announce that seniors Dvita Bhattacharya, Chelsea Cui, Colette Gentile, and Nia Gitau are Semifinalists in the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program. Seniors Lila Gorke, Evelyn Grissinger, Angela Hong, Charlotte Kim, and Auburn Wilson received commendations.

The National Merit Scholarship Program is an annual academic competition among high school students for recognition and college undergraduate scholarships. Students enter by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test, which serves as an initial screen of over 1.3 million entrants each year, and by meeting published program entry and participation requirements.

One hundred twelve students have been honored by the College Board in recognition of their college-level achievement on Advanced Placement (AP) examinations taken last spring.
