Kent Place School Wins International Marketing Awards

Kent Place is delighted to announce that it has earned four 2022 InspirED School Marketers Brilliance Awards — two for its redesigned website and two for the winter/spring 2022 issue of Kent Place Magazine.

The entries were judged by a volunteer panel of 71 international experts who are professionals in private school marketing. They were scored on originality, persuasiveness, copy/script/dialogue, visual elements, execution, and overall appeal.

The website redesign was recognized with a Gold award and its homepage earned a Bronze. The judges cited the website as “a clear winner with very strong visuals including video on the homepage. The video case studies are very powerful and a great way of getting the audience engaged and feeling part of the community. The bold text and excellent use of clean, white space set the stage, but the perfectly executed student and faculty video ‘stories’ make it sing — simply awesome.”

The “Be Well” feature in the spring/winter 2022 issue of the school’s magazine received a Gold for its photos and imagery. “The drawings and graphics that illustrate this article about student wellness are appealing in every way,” said the judges. “Using a bright yet gentle color palette, each page has delightfully simple little picture boxes that offer suggestions, instructions, and insightful information regarding the well-being of students during pandemic times.”

The magazine’s overall design achieved a Bronze. “This isn't just a magazine — it's the heart of the school. Any member of the Kent Place community would be proud to read this cover-to-cover,” the judges said.

This was the second consecutive year that Kent Place won multiple Brilliance Awards for its magazine, which is edited by Rachel Naggar P ’25, Director of Communications. 2Communiqué provides creative direction and design, and an incredible team of writers, photographers, illustrators, and copy editors help bring the magazine to life.

The redesigned Kent Place website, launched in early September of this year, also earned a Silver Level Award from Vega Digital, which highlights pioneers in an ever-changing digital landscape. The Web redesign was led by Ms. Naggar, in consultation with Finalsite, and with input from many KPS faculty and staff.

“Having the opportunity to tell Kent Place’s story in unique ways, and then to have this work recognized, is incredibly rewarding,” says Ms. Naggar. “I’m indebted to our creative partners and to all who help elevate Kent Place’s mission through these mediums.”

The Brilliance Awards are sponsored by InspirED School Marketers, a community that provides “brilliant ideas and brain food” for private school administrators around the globe. This is the only international competition that recognizes excellence in private and independent school marketing and communications.
