Kent Place Honors Coaches on Their National Day

Kent Place Honors Coaches on Their National Day

In honor of National Coaches Day, the Kent Place Athletic Department extends its gratitude to the school’s coaches for their commitment to our student-athletes and our athletic program.

Our coaches are the foundation of Kent Place Athletics. They stand alongside their players through victories and challenges, accompany their teams on long bus rides to away games, endure the summer heat during preseason as well as the winter cold, and motivate the teams on rainy Saturdays. The community is incredibly thankful for their expertise, dedication, and the patience they show as they continuously elevate the standards of Kent Place athletics. We also recognize the countless hours they invest behind the scenes — from planning practices and sending emails to cleaning up after workouts, all tasks that often go unnoticed but are vital to the success of our program.

“Thank you to our incredible coaches for your dedication, guidance, and passion. You inspire greatness every day,” says Athletic Director Vicky Browne.

Varsity Soccer captain Valentina Martin Aloe ’25 extols the virtues of her coaches: “Coach Erica and Coach Dani are the best support team we have on the field. No matter what happens during a game or practice, we can always rely on them to boost our morale. The team’s dedication and enthusiasm come from them, and we’re so grateful.”

Says Varsity Volleyball captain Abby Werbel ’25: “Coach Rey and Coach Tom support the team in every way. They ensure that we have a good combination of fun and drive to create a balanced team who can stay focused when needed. Both coaches care for every one of our players and dedicate themselves to helping our team thrive. We really appreciate everything they’ve done for us and how they’ve helped us grow as players.”
