Kent Place Artists and Writers Honored with Prestigious Scholastic Awards

Kent Place congratulates 23 students in the Upper and Middle School on receiving a Scholastic Award. The Scholastic Art and Writing Awards program is the longest-running, most prestigious recognition program for creative teens in the United States. These students stood out from thousands of entries, and earned regional awards and honorable mentions in many visual arts and writing categories.

For the Middle School, Chloe Zhang ’30 earned one Gold Key, three Silver Keys, and one Honorable Mention for painting. Her Gold Key–winning painting has automatically advanced to the National Gold Medal Competition, where it will be reviewed by national-level judges.

Also for the Middle School, Gitanjali Kameswaran '30 earned a Silver Key for poetry. Congratulations, Gitanjali and Chloe!
