ICYMI: Your Guide to the Winter/Spring 2025 Issue of Kent Place Magazine

By now, you’ve received the winter/spring 2025 issue of Kent Place magazine, which is filled with stories that explore what makes Kent Place, Kent Place: a commitment to academic excellence, prioritizing the whole girl, and nurturing leadership, creativity, athletic pursuit, and physical and mental well-being.

Haven’t had time to dive in? Don’t fret! We’ve put together a guide to help you navigate this issue. No matter how much time you have to enjoy it, you’re sure to be amazed.

If you’ve got 15 minutes . . .

Enjoy our feature stories. On page 26, hear about Character Building from three alumnae whose leadership journeys began at Kent Place, and how their insights shaped — and continue to shape — who they are today. You can also read about How We Talk to Each Other (about everything), and the tools and structures we give our students that they can adapt for any situation. For this feature, turn to page 34.

If you’ve got 10 minutes . . .

Check out pages 4–25 of the Commons Room to learn about our exceptional students and everything they’ve been doing in the classroom, on the playing fields, on stage, and more. Read about our current fourth-graders’ Request for Swings and The Power of Play, or how seventh- and eighth-graders are Investing in Real-World Skills. Read what Naomi Ravenell ’26 and Sonia Gulati ’25 are up to in the classrooms and beyond or learn about the bridge between Middle and Upper School athletics with Dragons Supporting Dragons. Learn all about how the Ethics Institute is Navigating AI Ethically. And in Marquee, take a Journey Through the Woods to see how the Upper School brought fairy tale characters to life in the fall production.

If you’ve got 5 minutes . . .

Check in with our recent graduates and keep pace with our extraordinary alumnae. Bridge Generations Through Theater on page 41 as the 2024 cast of Into the Woods welcomed back the 1993 cast. Spend a day in the life At the Paris Olympics with Paige (Shepperly) Nieslanik ’11 on page 42, or 15 minutes with Lola Possick ’23, on page 60, who was selected as a USA Fencing team alternate at the Games. Meet Rhodes Scholar Jenna Smith ’21 on page 41, and hear from Maya Lobban ’12, chair of Kent Place’s DEIB Alum Council, on page 44. Are you a Kent Place alumna?
