ICYMI: Your Guide to the Fall 2025 Issue of Kent Place Magazine

By now, you’ve received the fall 2025 issue of Kent Place magazine, which is filled with stories that explore what makes Kent Place, Kent Place: stories of mission in action, of girls becoming confident leaders, and of students challenging themselves and lifting one another up.

Haven’t had time to dive in? Don’t fret! We’ve put together a guide to help you navigate this issue. No matter how much time you have to enjoy it, you’re sure to be amazed.

If you’ve got 15 minutes . . .

Enjoy our feature stories. On page 28, we celebrate the Class of 2025. Read quotes from Commencement that honor the strong sisterhood of our most recent graduates and the KPS roots that will forever connect them to the school that helped them grow. On page 34, read How We Build to Lead and learn about the ways in which the new Leadership Center for Athletics, Wellness, and Performing Arts will support the skills and community propelling the next generation of students to excel. Check out the four-page fold-out spread (a Kent Place magazine first!) and get the insider’s tour of the transformational new building. On page 38, read about An Alumna’s Return Home, as Katie (Herbst) Machir ’95 P ’28 steps into her new role as Board President, ready to strengthen the community and secure its future for generations.

If you’ve got 10 minutes . . .

Check out pages 4–27 of the Commons Room (in any order!) to read about our exceptional students and everything they’ve been doing in the classroom, on the playing fields, on stage, and more. Hear from Upper School students who witnessed Living History in Italy through Kent Place’s Global Learning Program. Discover what Sophie Ewart ’26, Fiona Gambuzza ’25, and Allison Ameo ’26 are up to in the classrooms and beyond. Celebrate 30 years of the Girls’ Leadership Institute or learn how Kent Place is Empowering Future Leaders with Bloomberg Terminals. Read how athletics Finds the Balance to support the whole athlete or Raise the Curtain on the Upper School Theater Program, with more opportunities than ever for students to take the stage.

If you’ve got 5 minutes . . .

Check in with our recent graduates and keep pace with our extraordinary alumnae. On page 43, read how six alumnae from the Class of 2022 found themselves reunited in Europe while studying abroad. On page 44, Take a Glimpse into the Life of Judy Joo ’93, chef, author, restaurateur, and television personality. Meet Brett Ashley McKenzie ’00, communications strategist and former journalist, on page 46. On page 60, read a Q&A with two alumnae — Courtney (Alpaugh) Simmons ’09 and Giana Earrusso ’18 — who have returned to their alma mater to help shape the future of the institution that once shaped them. Are you a Kent Place alumna? Find out what your fellow graduates are up to in the Class Notes, starting on page 47.
