Dragons Athletics 2022 Fall-Season Recap

Dragons Athletics 2022 Fall-Season Recap

Kent Place’s student-athletes bring an immense amount of pride to our school community. As the honors and awards from the 2022 fall athletics season have now been announced, we wanted to take a moment to recognize the athletes and the teams. The season was filled with exciting wins, competitive tournament play, player development, and boundless enthusiasm.

The fall sports are soccer, field hockey, tennis, volleyball, and cross country. Across all three school divisions, our student-athletes achieved amazing things on the field, in the gym, and on the court, leading to individual and team recognition.

Twenty-four Kent Place athletes were honored by Union County and 28 were recognized by their sports’ divisions. Cross Country was named the UCIAC Team of the Year and Middle School Soccer and Tennis teams both achieved the title of MSAC Champion. Players received All-State recognition, broke team records, achieved personal milestones — the list of their accomplishments goes on.

Says Vicky Browne, Director of Athletics at Kent Place, “I am exceptionally proud of our athletic community. Every day, since the start of preseason, our athletes and coaches have shown up and given 100 percent, and nobody could ask for more. They’ve shown strength, commitment, and courage, and, most important, demonstrated what it means to be part of a team.”

Congratulations to all on an incredible fall season. To read about the team and individual awards and to learn about Kent Place’s history of athletic success, please click here. And be sure to check out the winter athletics calendar so you can cheer on our winter Dragons.
