On Wednesday, September 25, the Great Room was transformed into “Repertorio Español” — the nation's preeminent LatinX theater — for Kent Place’s annual LatinX Night celebration.
Dr. Evelyn Hanna Appointed Director of the Upper School
We’re pleased to announce the appointment of Evelyn Hanna as our Director of the Upper School, effective immediately.
A member of the Kent Place community since 2018, Dr. Hanna was Director of Curriculum Innovation and STEM, leading teachers in interdisciplinary curricular development, both within spaces such as our Innovation Labs and within classrooms across disciplines. She also served as Chair of the Math, Computer Science, and Engineering, and STEM Departments. Dr. Hanna has also taught and advised in the Upper School.
Since July 2023, Dr. Hanna has been serving as the Interim Upper School Director and has demonstrated outstanding leadership, an unwavering commitment to our students, and a profound understanding of the needs of high-achieving girls.
“Dr. Hanna’s long-term vision aligns beautifully with our mission and strategic goals,” says Dr. Jennifer Galambos, Head of School. “I’m confident that Dr. Hanna will continue to nurture an environment that is inclusive and innovative.”
Dr. Hanna is a graduate of Rutgers University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and her doctorate in mathematics education. Her research and teaching explore the intersection of STEM content knowledge, affect, and identity with the goal of advancing equity in the STEM fields.
