Kent Place Middle School Presents "Mary Poppins" on January 24 and 25

Mary Poppins is set to fly over the rooftops of London and into the Hyde & Watson Theater at Kent Place School on Friday, January 24, and Saturday, January 25! Tickets will go on sale on Monday, January 6, via

Mary Poppins is the practically perfect nanny who helps us learn to take our medicine with a spoonful of sugar, find the silver lining in every situation, and realize that sometimes we should just use the winds of change to go fly a kite. Mary brings order to the Banks household, takes Jane and Michael out on magical adventures, and dispenses sage advice, such as, "anything can happen if you let it." This family-friendly musical features the delightful songs you remember from the Disney film including, "A Spoonful of Sugar;" "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious;" and "Step in Time."

The Middle School production features a cast of the following Kent Place sixth-, seventh-, and eighth-graders: Megan Altier, Ava Burroughs, Alice Carr, Selena Chen, Jessica Choy, Nora Clow, Cari Corrales, Reilly Dangler, Zoe Evans, Carly Frith, Emma Geppel, Catherine Gerbino, Caitlin Geoghegan, Charlotte Grushkin, Evelyn Grissinger, Lauren Herman, Maren Heary, Ceci Hirawat, Sahana Kapoor, Esme Kim, Stella Kim, Katie Markley, Emma McQuade, Evelyne Mendelsohn, Madeline Mon, Mia Naggar, Kara Pantozzi, Olivia Peters, Jacquelyn Reig, Medha Sahay, Taylor Seig, Reina Smith, Riya Soni, Brooke Tufankjian, Annabelle Walter, Indiya Weinmann, Anabel Wheatley, Maya Yie, and Ava Zinna.

The stage management team includes students: Ruth Young, Katie Tan, and Rhyan Brown.

The stage crew includes students: Jasmin Algarin, Gabby Gaston, Melat Hall, Katrina Lee, Nicola Murungi, Maddie Popolow, Diana Reig, Sofia Wanosky, Auburn Wilson, and Morwen Xu.

Middle School theater teacher, Keri Lesnik serves as the director, Music Direction is led by KPS music teacher Peter Fischer, and the show is being choreographed by Lauren Moran-Mills. Danni Newbury is designing the set and lighting.
