KPS Drops a Tough One to Montclair

Bobbi Moran
The Dragons traveled to Montclair High School on a cloudy fall afternoon for a terrific match up against a talented squad.  The visitors started the game on their back foot as the team arrived late to the field and had a brief warm up. The home team capitalized on the Dragons imbalance and notched two goals in the first half of play to secure their space on the leader board. However the second half was a different story as the Dragons regained their momentum and found the back of the net to get on the board. A chippy home crowd added to the intensity of the match for the visitors as time did not work in the Dragons' favor. KPS found its gear late in the second half but it was not enough to level the score and the team returned home with their first loss of the season. Big thanks to all those who traveled to Montclair to cheer us on today. KPS will face off against ALJ on Tuesday, September 10 for a 4:30 match up. Hope to see you there.
