Eli Manning Joins KPS Basketball to Tackle Kids Cancer

The KPS team played against cross-town rival Oak Knoll at the event which was held at Oratory Prep. Mother Nature threatened to cancel the games and had an impact on the ability for JV teams to play; however, KPS and OKS squared off after the Oratory Prep varsity team took on Summit High School.
The event was the brainchild of Summit-area school athletic directors who worked together to produce the fundraiser.
“We’re so grateful to Pat Gist and his staff at Oratory Prep,” said KPS Athletic Director Bobbi Moran. “This was a wonderful opportunity for the Summit teams to play for a worthy cause. The Manning family is a great role model in our community for service in action, and have been incredibly helpful. Our girls are so fortunate, and I believe that service is an important part of giving back and passing what we have along to others. It’s a lesson for our scholar-athletes that we try to do anything we can do to help. A huge thanks to all those in our community who helped by donating, and to Mr. Manning and his daughter, who attended the games.”
To date, Kent Place has raised close to $2,000, which Eli Manning will match dollar for dollar. For more information about how you can donate, CLICK HERE.
