Field Hockey

The Kent Place field hockey program has earned the reputation of being one of the top in the country.

The Dragons compete in the Union County Interscholastic Athletic Conference (UCIAC) Essex/Union Red Division, the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA), and the New Jersey Independent School Athletic Association (NJISAA) Non-Public North A leagues. Our team is ranked among the top teams in the state, year in and year out, and is ranked in MaxPreps' Top 100 Teams in the Country.

The coaching staff and veteran players alike welcome newcomers. In this program, the girls learn sportsmanship, teamwork, and to respect themselves, all within a family atmosphere that enables every athlete to reach her full potential. Our varsity team consistently earns the National Field Hockey Coaches Association’s top ranking with Academic All-Americans and All-Americans. Our daily training consists of skill work, speed and conditioning, weight training, mindfulness, goal-setting, and nutrition.

Recent graduates of the KPS program have gone on to play at some of the top Division I, Ivy, and NEPSAC programs, such as those at Duke, Yale, Amherst, Williams, and Hamilton.
