BEE: Be Ethical Everywhere - Ethics Institute

Meet Beatrice the Ethical Bee and all of her friends in our Primary School Be Ethical Everywhere (BEE) Program.

The Be Ethical Everywhere (BEE) program is a K-3 primary school ethics curriculum that teaches students how to make ethical decisions. Students learn with Beatrice how to identify and apply values in everyday situations in order to become ethical leaders and community members.

The BEE program includes:

Story: K-2 picture book with illustrations
Teaching Manual: vocabulary sets, discussion questions, activities, facilitation strategies and examples
Manipulatives: Bee Talking Ball, Build a Hive for Values, Ethical Decision Making Flower, Recording of two songs with printable lyrics ("Ethical Bee" and "Ethical Flower")
Extended Activities: STEM, Art, English Language Arts (ELA)

Learning Objectives

Key Skills: Throughout the BEE: Be Ethical Everywhere curriculum, students learn about the four key skills of ethical decision making:

Critical, Caring, & Creative Thinking: Take your time to understand the situation, consider multiple perspectives, and come up with creative solutions.
Identification of Values: Figure out what is important and what you and others value.
Communication & Action: Make a decision and explain to others your reasons.
Self-Reflection & Revision: Think about how things went and what can be done better next time. Understand that mistakes happen.

Cost of Program, Materials, and Training

$15,000 for initial purchase, $5,000 for subsequent purchases (Year 2 and Year 3 Books). Please note: Only Year 1 is available at this time. Please inquire for discounts if you wish to pre-purchase the entire package.
