Flag football kicks off its fourth year with a bang, and the energy buzzing around the sport is electrifying!
In recent years, the National Football League and the New York Jets have partnered with a number of states to launch Girls Flag Football. The Kent Place Dragons are delighted to bring this program to campus for a third year.
In 2021, the State of New Jersey launched flag football with 8 teams across the state; this year, they anticipate over 100 teams participating. We play in the Big Central Conference, which consists of 33 teams across Union, Middlesex, Somerset, Hunterdon, and Warren counties. Flag football remains a pilot program within the NJSIAA, with hopes it will become a fully sanctioned sport in 2027.
We are thrilled to be offering this sport again and cannot wait to take the field. We hope to see you in the stands cheering our Dragons on!
