On January 7, Kent Place fifth-graders blasted off into an unforgettable adventure during their visit to the Buehler Challenger and Science Center — where their science lessons suddenly felt thrillingly real.
Flag football kicks off its third year with a bang, and the energy buzzing around the sport is electrifying!
In recent years, the National Football League and the New York Jets have partnered with a number of states to launch Girls Flag Football. The Kent Place Dragons are delighted to bring this program to campus for a third year.
In 2021 the State of New Jersey launched flag football with 8 teams across the state, this year they anticipate over 100 teams participating. In addition, the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA) "took action, turning it into a pilot sport for the next two years, paving the way for it to be a fully sanctioned sport by the end of 2025". This is a major milestone for the growth of the sport, which will now be a sport featured in the 2028 Olympics!!
We are thrilled to be offering this sport again and cannot wait to take the field. We hope to see you in the stands cheering our Dragons on!
