wELCOME TO THE HOME OF THE DRAGONS
The mission of the Kent Place School Athletics Department is to build strong, confident, self-assured individuals through their experience in our athletics programs.
About 75% of our students participate in one of our 15 varsity sports. We send scholar-athletes not only to all-conference, all-county, all-state, and all-star teams but also to top Division I and III schools.
Where Winning Means More
Kent Place Dragons Play to Win.
But to us, winning is about something bigger than the final score or who comes in first. It's about communication and collaboration. It's about discipline and teamwork. And it's about personal responsibility and collective achievement.
ATHLETICS PHILOSOPHY
Participation in athletics is an integral part of the overall Kent Place School experience for our students, and our athletic teams are a source of pride for the entire Kent Place community. We are committed to maintaining a healthy balance between athletics, academics, and other extracurricular programs, providing a quality competitive program for our student-athletes while encouraging students to participate in other areas of school life.
Our philosophy is to provide a competitive yet inclusive athletic program. A broad range of sports teams and competitive levels allow for both strong varsity teams and wide participation at the JV and Middle School levels. We value athletic participation and believe in the benefits afforded to girls through competition.
"Sports have always been a part of my life, as an athlete, as a coach, a lecturer, and an administrator. I wholeheartedly believe in Kent Place’s inspiring mission, emphasis on health and wellness, and strong female leadership. Go Dragons!” Vicky Browne, Director of Athletics
