Community Life and Well-Being

At Kent Place School, our sense of community is rooted in the belief that every individual should feel seen, heard, and valued. We nurture an environment where each person’s story, perspective, and contribution help shape who we are together.

Guided by empathy and respect, we foster connections across differences, encourage open dialogue, and create spaces where all can thrive. Our commitment to belonging inspires us to build meaningful relationships, support one another’s growth, and ensure that everyone feels they truly have a place here.

BELONGING STATEMENT

At Kent Place School, inclusion and belonging are foundational principles that support well-being, excellence, and community. Committed to equity in practice and policy, we work to ensure that all members of our community experience belonging and develop one’s voice and respect for each other as well as the global society. We actively reject all forms of discrimination, intolerance, and bias; acknowledge multiple perspectives, seek reflective and respectful dialogue; and hold ourselves accountable for recognizing personal and collective responsibility to these principles.

COMMUNITY LIFE AND WELL-BEING TASK FORCES

Our task forces champion and lead our BELONGING work across the Kent Place community. Kent Place School works at the Leadership, Board of Trustees, and Alumnae Association Board levels to advance our commitment to INCLUSIVITY at all levels of the school.

The school established task forces at the Board of Trustees and Alumnae Council levels,  which consists of administrators, parents and alumnae. These groups focus on fostering a sense of belonging and connecting with the broader community to create strong networks of support and mentorship
