Pre-K Camp

Boys and girls ages 4 and 5
Hours: 9:00 a.m. - Noon
Camp fun for boys and girls who have had a full year of nursery school, but will not be starting kindergarten in the fall. Activities include arts & crafts, music and movement, story time, a multitude of manipulatives and building with small and large blocks. Indoor play is in our air-conditioned Primary building. Outdoor play takes place in our adjoining playground and includes sprinkler time, sandbox, water table, bicycles, balls, hula hoops, gardening, large chalkboard, painting and time on the playground equipment. The program fosters each child’s overall development.
Junior Camp | June 28 - August 6
Boys and girls entering Kindergarten and Grade 1
Hours: 9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. (Kindergarden half day option) or 9:00 a.m. - 2:50 p.m. (Kindergarten and Grade 1)
Enjoy summer at its best: free-spirited play, picnics, theme
days and visiting performers. Activities, coordinated
around a weekly theme, include arts & crafts, music, computers,
reader's theater, nature and cooking. Physical activities include
free play on our playgrounds and sports and games to develop gross motor skills. Full-day campers swim twice a week at The Connection for Women and Families in Summit. Staffed with early
childhood educators, Junior Camp, with its low camper/counselor
ratio, provides a nurturing, developmentally appropriate
experience for beginning campers. Campers are grouped by
grade.
Day Camp | June 28 - August 6
Boys and girls entering Grades 2 - 6
Hours: 8:50 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Day Campers enjoy action-packed days filled with sports,
games, art, musical theater, computers and nature,
highlighted by weekly special events such as Gold Rush,
Luau, Field Day and visiting performers. Day Camp offers a wide variety
of sports, including archery and tennis instruction. Swimming is held three
times a week at The Connection for Women and Families
in Summit. A daily free choice time gives campers
an opportunity to choose from a variety of activities. Day campers are grouped by age and sex, but
have plenty of opportunity to form friendships with all
campers and staff.
Passport Program | June 28 - August 6
Boys and girls entering Grades 7 and 8
Hours: 8:50 a.m. - 3:05 p.m.
Passport Program campers enjoy the best of both worlds! Choose from favorite Day Camp activities including archery, tennis and field sports and a wide array of Creative Arts Workshop classes. A weekly field trip, community service projects, leadership games and special event days add to the enjoyment. Sign-up forms for the Creative Arts Workshop classes will be mailed in May.
Counselor-in-Training Program | July 5 - 30
Boys and girls entering Grades 9 and 10
Hours: 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Our Counselor-in-Training program will help participants develop lifelong skills, identify and achieve individual goals and build skills to lead children. CITs will work and train under the current Counselors in charge. Participants will learn first aid, CPR, group and time management and a variety of program skills through first-hand experiences with campers of different ages. Attendance is required for the entire session.
