Kent Place Voices

The Kent Place Speakers Series brings outstanding role models to campus each year to meet with teachers, students, and parents. Recent visitors have included journalist Robin Roberts, marine biologist Sylvia Earle and paleoanthropologist Louise Leakey.

Kent Place has a strong tradition of commitment to community service, beginning with our youngest students in Primary School. Their recent projects have included collecting children’s hats, mittens and scarves during the holiday season and school supplies for the American Red Cross. More than 90 percent of Middle and Upper School students volunteer each year to support a variety of community efforts. They tutor children at the YMCA, work at area food banks, distribute food and clothing to the homeless in New York City, and serve in hospitals, on first aid squads and in soup kitchens.
