A Society to Recognize Planned Giving
In 1987, a group of alumnae and friends of Kent Place made the historical decision to create a new society, named the Heritage Society, to recognize and honor those individuals who have included Kent Place in their bequests or estate plans.
By 1989, the group of 21 alumnae and friends of Kent Place became the charter members of the Heritage Society. Over the last two decades, many others have shared the vision to leave a lasting legacy to Kent Place School.
A Planned Gift
How does a planned gift differ from other giving such as support for the Annual Fund? A contribution to the Annual Fund is a direct gift of cash, securities or other assets that are available for immediate allocation to support the daily operations of the school. Planned gifts generally don’t require an immediate obligation for the donor during his or her lifetime. They provide a special opportunity to arrange for future support of the school by a provision in a donor’s estate plan through a will, trust, retirement plan, life insurance policy or real estate.
