Capital Campaign

Overview
Campaign Details
The Campaign for Kent Place School’s “Inspiring Tomorrow’s Leaders,” was launched with the single mission of providing all that is in the best interest of our students.

In April of 2007, a ground breaking ceremony was held for the new Upper School, known as Phase I of The Campaign for Kent Place School. With 45,000 square feet of classroom, lab and music space now fully occupied and in service, this construction has been a transformative undertaking and a major success. Importantly, both the interior and exterior architecture blend handsomely with that of Mabie House, the historic jewel of our campus. The science labs are extraordinary and considered to be university level, while our new music center, with soaring ceilings and elegant wood trim and appointments, is awe-inspiring. The Great Room, as named by the students, is a welcoming commons area that has many uses, from Morning Meeting to small performances, readings and parent gatherings.

The Campaign for Kent Place School has been the first campaign of such major proportions in the history of the school. By exceeding its $25 million goal, the school was able to fund both Phases I and II. Work on Phase II, the renovation of the former Upper School, was completed in the fall of 2010 and is now home to the new Middle School. We are deeply grateful for the response of the Kent Place community to requests for funding of Phases I and II. Thank you to all who responded so generously.

Phase III is the final chapter of The Campaign for Kent Place School. With enthusiasm and excitement for the new construction and renovation running high, we will capitalize on that momentum and complete the last leg of the journey in what has already been a highly successful campaign. The former Middle School will be renovated and will include a new Math Center, Visual Arts Center, classroom space, an Information Technology/Media Center and the Nicholas Conover English Library & Learning Commons. Phase III has been approved by the Board of Trustees. Our anticipated goal for this project is $10 million. Check back for the timing of Phase III and our fundraising kick-off!
