Transportation Options for Students
Kent Place Voices

Though not mandatory, 100 percent of our Primary, Middle and Upper School students volunteer each year to support a variety of community efforts.

Girls travel to Kent Place from 70 communities throughout northern and central New Jersey. Several transportation options are available.

Public Transportation
The Summit train station services NJ Transit commuter trains from the Hoboken, Dover and Peapack/Gladstone lines. The school runs a free shuttle bus that transports students to and from the Summit train station each morning and afternoon. Some students come to Summit by way of the #70 NJ Transit bus, which runs from Newark/Irvington and travels through the towns of Irvington, Maplewood, Millburn and Springfield.

Large Community School Buses
In the past, nonpublic school transportation services for KPS students have been provided by a number of local counties, free of charge. If your town does not provide transportation, a student may be eligible to receive reimbursement from the community instead of busing.

Montclair Private Bus
Private transportation is available from a central drop-off location (Montclair Art Museum).

Private Automobile
Some parents drive to Kent Place every day or develop carpools with other parents. Student parking is available for 11th and 12th grade students.
