“In Middle School math, we use a dynamic geometry program called Geometer’s Sketchpad. It’s a great tool because it is so flexible. It allows girls to meet the concepts where they are—whether they are novices or more experienced, abstract thinkers or more concrete.”

Walk into any math classroom at Kent Place and you will see girls who relish the challenge of mastering difficult math concepts. More often than not, students are up at the board or at their computers figuring through problems, others are working in pairs or groups, and suggestions are flying around the room. Our teachers intentionally create an atmosphere that dispels any sense of “math anxiety” and replaces it with energy and enthusiasm.
