A Message from Susan C. Bosland
In 1894, the creation of Kent Place School evolved from the desire of several fathers to provide a top educational experience for their daughters. To this day, the school remains true to its original mission of academic excellence and attracts students from 70 different communities across New Jersey. The school recognizes that educational excellence and diversity are linked, and therefore strives to create and support a community that mirrors the global community. Providing an environment that embraces multiple perspectives, values difference and encourages each student’s unique voice is at the core of a Kent Place School education.
Curriculum, school programs, policies and initiatives are planned and executed utilizing a lens that encourages inclusion and acceptance. School-wide, affinity and interest groups span students in all three academic divisions, as well as our faculty, staff and parents.
Diversity is an evolving process. Kent Place constantly seeks ways to evaluate the work we are doing and the educational experience we are providing to best prepare our graduates for active participation and meaningful involvement in our global society.
We hope that you will sense the above themes woven throughout the rest of our website. And we hope you will see and feel them in person whenever you come visit our campus!
